In spring 2017, I worked with four other master's students to develop and implement a public relations and marketing plan to promote an HIV prevention drug called Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP for short) on behalf of the Indiana State Department of Health. After presenting our plan to the State Department, we were given a $50,000 to implement our pilot program in Indianapolis. Within 3 months, we developed a website, created 3 professional videos, presented about PrEP to several student organizations at IUPUI, and created advertising and marketing collateral for future use.
